NAME: Hati
Appearance: It takes no greater imaginative skill to think that Hati once took the form of a wolf, and well.. still do, whenever he feels that it’s appropriate. His grin is sharp and somewhat snaggletoothed and his nails have a natural inclination to grow and curve like claws, Although people are more likely to notice the fact that he’s pale, almost sicklishly so. He can’t really help it though, His transformation from wolf to human didn’t really take any liberties when it came to his appearance, so as a white wolf with red eyes he became a whitishly pale human with .. well, red eyes. Though what most notice second to to his obvious lack of pigment is the fact that there is something noticeably.. animalistic about his appearance, despite the fact that his body is as human as one can be. In his wolf form, he still retains most of his basic characteristics; A scrawny build, red eyes as well as the same silvery white fur, though more often than not it’s matted and dirty by mud and dust. The city isn’t really the cleanest place and Hati has never been the one to . Personality:
History: The early life of Hati is nothing but an indistinct recollection. He has some vague memories of wet, earthy leaves under soft paws, the metallic tang of blood on his tounge and the warm, familiar smell of his kin. The Iron Woods had been kind to him and seen to that his eyes were sharp and his fangs and claws even sharper. He was a baser being back then, his only concern being his hunger and stilling it. There were days when he hunted with his brother and the pack, there were days when he hunted alone. Still, there was always prey to be had, always flesh to sink his teeth into. Although one day things changed. He doesn’t quite remember why he began to wander farther and farther away from the areas he knew. Maybe it was hunger, maybe it was boredom. He supposes it doesn’t really matter. What did matter though, was that one day when he got near the edge of the woods. It’s one of the moments he remembers quite clearly. The night sky lit up, and in the distance, he spotted him. Travelling across the sky in a chariot pulled by a horse frothing at the mouth. Not that he paid it much thought, there and then he was more concerned with the hunger he had been trying to still for days. Prey had been scarce near the edges if the forest and he was just desperate enough to chase after the man in the chariot. And chase he did. For how many years, he can’t quite remember, but it certainly was a number. There’s no event he remembers specifically, the whole ordeal was pretty much the same all the way through. Some nights he would get so close that he could practically smell the fear and sweat from the horse, others he would trail behind, but he never gave the man in the chariot even the shortest moment of rest. He was relentless. To a certain extent of course. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity and what could’ve very well been one, he felt himself lagging behind. Slowly but surely, until he had lost both the sight and scent of the chariot.. Then he had little choice but to turn back. It took him a while to find his way back to the Iron Woods, things had changed in his absence and he barely found his way around. During his mindless hunger-induced frenzy he had paid no mind to nothing but catching up to the chariot but now, he had time to think. More than he ever had before. So when he finally met up his brother again, he at least was able to contribute with what he thought they should do next. They decided to seek out the aesir. Both had had it when it came to life as a wolf and pleading to the gods whose sons and daughters they had chased for centuries didn’t really sound like the best idea but they had little choice in the matter. The only one who agreed to see them was Loki and the offer he made was not a fair one, but one they had to agree to nonetheless. They were cast into the war, sworn to serve by Loki’s side until their debts had been paid off. In return, they were blessed and allowed to take on human form and intelligence. Abilities: Hati's true and original form is a wolf and thanks to the little boon bestowed upon him by Loki, he can freely transform between a human form and his original form at will. The human form is how he chooses to appear most of the time, for obvious reasons. Going about a normal life surrounded by humans while in the form of a wolf is.. difficult. Unless you plan on sustaining yourself on garbage and pigeons. In human form, he still retains some of his physical traits from his wolf self. He’s stronger than your average person, as well as having an extraordinarily keen sense of smell and sharp hearing. He’s still basically an animal though and will often rely on instinct rather than reason to make his decisions. Faceclaim: haine rammsteiner, DOGS Made by: echo |
